IPMAT 2026 Eligibility and Admission Process

IPMAT 2026 Eligibility and Admission is the first step for students aiming to join the prestigious Integrated Program in Management (IPM) offered by top IIMs directly after Class 12th. The IPM is a unique dual-degree program that awards both an undergraduate and postgraduate qualification. Initially launched by IIM Indore, this program offers students a B.A. (Hons.) + MBA degree, along with the flexibility to exit after completing the undergraduate phase in three years. As of now, 6 IIMs have adopted the IPM pathway, offering a golden opportunity for students to begin their IIM journey right after school.

Early to start to IIM journey

Imagine starting to study at IIM directly after class 12th. It not only gives you brand name but also, it gives you an early start to your management career too. Moreover you gain an early professional start, and this early start may lead to your well maintained solid career progression.

No CAT

A student here is safed by one of the most difficult examinations of India i.e. CAT( Common Aptitude Test). Since your five years means MBA is secured in an IIM, there is no need to worry about CAT. Moreover the program gives you flexibility i.e. you can leave the program after three years with your undergraduate degree, so if a student gives CAT or any other Postgraduate exam and qualifies for a better IIM or college, he may leave for another college as well.

IPMAT Eligibility (as per IPMAT2026)

Minimum Educational Qualification Schedule	candidate should have passed Class 10 and Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized institution with regular attendance mode of study.

Age Limit

The candidates of General Category must have been born on or after August 1, 2006.
This is the upper age limit 20 years as on July 31 of admission year.
The candidates who are of SC/ST/PwD Category should have been born on or after August 1, 2003 because the candidates will be around 23 years old up to July 31 of the respective year of admission.

Educational Qualification

Class 12 or equivalent: Should have passed with at least 60% marks in aggregate for all applicants except from reserved categories; or 55% marks, SC, ST, and PwD category;
Current year class XII appearing students are also eligible to apply, provided they furnish proof of having passed the class end examination before Joining the program.

Minimum Educational Qualification Schedule

The candidate should have passed Class 10 and Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized institution with regular attendance mode of study.
Distance mode completed education is not considered valid for consideration of eligibility for IPMAT
