WHAT is IPMAT ?
IPMAT is a guideway to get into IIMs directly after class 12th. IPMAT stands for Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. It gives students a chance to pursue IPM courses from the top most institutes of the country. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has introduced the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for students who seek a solid foundation in management right after Class XII. The program is of five years’ duration and is designed to provide the students with a combination of business studies, quantitative ability, and leadership skills. Admission to the much coveted program is through the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) conducted by IIM Indore.
Exam Dates & Timetable
IPMAT 2025 for IIM Amritsar IPM course will be held on May 12, 2025. The examination will be attempted in the afternoon session. The candidates should register themselves for IPMAT 2025 on IIM Indore’s website.

Registration Closing Date: Tentatively in April 2025
Issue of Admit Card: Tentatively in May 2025
Exam Date: 12th May, 2025
Declaration of Results: June 2025 (Provisional)
Personal Interview (PI) Round: June July 2025
Publication of Final Merit List: July August 2025

Eligibility Criteria
Such candidates who want to apply for IPMAT 2025 for admission to IIM Amritsar must be eligible in the following way:
Educational Qualification: The student should have appeared in Class XII/HSC or any equivalent test in either 2024 or in 2025.
Mathematics Requirement: Mathematics is a subject studied in Class XII.
Minimum Percentage Requirements:
General/EWS category: 60% marks in Class X and a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII.
NC OCD category: A minimum of 55% marks in Class X and a minimum of 55% marks in Class XII.
SC/ST/PwD category: Minimum 50% marks in Class X and minimum 50% marks in Class XII.
Age Eligibility: The age of the candidates should be on or after August 1, 2005. Age relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 5 years.
Pattern of the Examination for IPMAT 2025
The IPMAT 2025 examination conducted by IIM Indore evaluates the quantitative ability, verbal ability, and logical reasoning of the candidates. Pattern of IPMAT 2025 exam is as follows:

- +4 marks for each correct answer.
- 1 mark for each wrong answer (only for MCQs).

IIM Amritsar IPM 2025 Admission Procedure
Selection process for admission to IIM Amritsar IPM course is as below:
1. IPMAT Registration & Test
The candidates should register online from the IIM Indore official website and appear for the IPMAT test.
2. Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)
Shortlisted candidates on the basis of IPMAT score would be required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI).
3. Personal Interview (PI) Round
Shortlisted candidates would be welcomed by IIM Amritsar faculty members. The PI would screen candidates on the basis of:
- Communication skills
- General awareness
- Analytical mind
- Academic record
- Leadership and personality traits
4. Final Merit List & Admission Offer
Final selection would be based on a composite score taking into account:
- IPMAT Score
- PI performance
- Academic Record (X & XII marks)
- Extracurricular Achievements (if any)
The final issue date of final admission offer letters will be July August 2025. The finally shortlisted candidates will have to admit themselves by paying the admitting fee within the stipulated time.
Program Structure & Curriculum
IIM Amritsar IPM program has two phases:
- Phase 1 (First 3 Years Undergraduate Level)
The participants go through intensive course work in the following streams:
- Business and Economics
- Quantitative Techniques
- Psychology and Sociology
- Financial Accounting
- Organizational Behavior
- Communication Skills
- Phase 2 (Last 2 Years Postgraduate Level)
The students progress to MBA level subjects, studying:
- Advanced Management Studies
- Marketing, Strategy, and Operations

Students are also offered the option of opting out after three years with single time Bachelor’s in Quantitative Finance and Economics (BSQFE). The students wishing to study for another two years will be conferred an MBA by IIM Amritsar.
