IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is the gateway to India’s top integrated programs, offering direct entry into IIMs after class 12th. It allows you to pursue the IPM course, currently available at 7 IIMs, including the newest addition, IIM Amritsar. Unlike the fierce competition faced in the CAT exam for MBA admissions, IPMAT provides a relatively easier pathway. This unique program allows you to earn both an undergraduate and postgraduate degree from prestigious IIMs, learning from world-class faculty along the way.
So what is IPMAT?
IPMAT was first started by IIM Indore, they gave B.A.(hons.) degree + MBA degree and then multiple IIMs joined them in IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Amritsar. It consists of three sections: Quantitative Ability (short Answers) + Quantitative ability (Multiple choice Questions) + Verbal Ability.
The course offers you a strong base for building qualities important for management and leadership roles.
Why is IPMAT the Best Gateway to Top Integrated Programs?
1. Direct Admission to Prestigious IIMs
The best IIMs design the IPM program for the students, and through this very program, students would be in a position to pursue studies as early as from the second year at the institute itself from one of India’s prestigious management institutes.
This completely does away with the requirement of appearing for the CAT later on, and thus promises direct entry into an MBA degree.
Apart from the access to world class faculty, modern infrastructure and peer learning, the program promises access to holistic development through all rounded learning and experiences.
2. Complete Curriculum Spread Over Multiple Disciplines
While most BBA programs provide courses only within the single discipline of management, IPM offers a multi disciplinary course that integrates the elements of management with humanities, mathematics, and social sciences.
With an emphasis on the thinking ability, analytical ability, and qualities of leadership, the curriculum promises to bestow all round development in a person.
Courses in philosophy, sociology, and communication skills that provide all round views are also a part of ingredients in managerial jobs.
3. Early Career Growth and Placement in Top Grades
Recruiters from Mckinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Google, and many other such places come for the selection of graduating students from IPM.
Interactions, Live Projects and Cases are well assimilated with curriculum to get adequate practical exposure.
IPM hands out the high salary package comparable to and/or even surpassing the normal graduating MBA class members
Some alumni are exported overseas with very competitive packages.
4. Analytical and Leadership Development
The first three years are devoted to analytical and communications skills; therefore, they ensure that the students develop the solution based capabilities that will be useful in their future leadership roles. The last two years focus on core management training, making them job ready and highly competitive in the corporate world.
Exposure to business simulations, leadership workshops, and entrepreneurial activities helps them build strength in resilience and strategic thinking.
5. International Exposure and Student Exchange Programmes
It is in no way surprising that all IIMs have exchange programs for the benefit of the students in collaboration with international universities as well, while giving a more global perspective on management education.
These experiences form close professional relationships and provide such students with ample international career opportunities.
Students mostly contribute to multiple global case competitions, research collaboration, and also industry internships to enhance the cross cultural competence.
